Cancer UK-Salone joins hands with OBBA UK & I to raise Prostate Cancer Awareness.
Cancer UK-Salone had the honor of standing alongside remarkable Sierra Leoneans at the OBBA Annual Fundraising BBQ to raise Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign. The event celebrated the survival and champion spirit of Mr. Mustapha Feika, a brave prostate cancer survivor.
Amongst the esteemed OBBA members present were Mr. Eddie Kpakra (current Bo School Principal) Mr. Hadji Dabo (National OBBA President), we also honored to have Dr. Morie Manyeh, the Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the UK, gracing the occasion (OBBA Member).
Together, we united to raise awareness about prostate cancer and the importance of early detection. It's vital to stay vigilant and educated about this health issue affecting so many lives.
On behalf of the board of truest of Cancer UK-Salone, a heartfelt thank you goes out to the OBBA Executive for accepting our request to host this impactful campaign at their event.
Let's keep the momentum going and continue to spread awareness, educate and support those affected by prostate cancer especially black men as 1 in 4 will be diagnosed with this disease.
To those brave men who called me aside to disclose their diagnosis of prostate cancer, their journey and how they will like to support the campaign. Cancer UK-Salone and Prostate Cancer UK are happy to bring you onboard our campaign trail as volunteers to spread the word and save life, we will stay in touch.
Thanks to the ladies who told their stories of how they supported their partners through their prostate cancer journey. Thanks to those women took literature home for their partners and sons, we need more women engaging in Prostate cancer awareness to support our men.
Together, we can bridge the care gap and bring hope to those in need. Cancer UK-Salone in collaboration with Prostate Cancer UK are happy to support all events with prostate cancer awareness publications with special interest in targeting and tailoring our campaign messaging to especially black men and black communities in the UK and Sierra Leone.
